It always amazes me how RIPE and their neighbors never stop attempts at hacking into our servers and the sites of “Sweat”. Just when you think they slow up on one end they try another. This round is aimed at this blog, specifically something we don’t use on it. The simplemodal-contact-form-smcf is their newest attack to hack into. Yes, it was installed here but never used. The first time I seen your dumb-ass failed attacks at it, we uninstalled it. Not cause we’re scairt, just to waste your precious time.

So, please…have at it, we still got plenty of space left on the error logs. And remember…..we got our eyes on you!! Unlike many others, we pay attention to the logs. Just a few of them below….I don’t wanna run outta the post page or the ink.

Here's to You

RIPE, AfriNIC and APNIC…

All of you from these particular areas already should know how Cold Sweat-Chicago Internet Solutions feels…… we don’t need you!! You keep trying and trying to register and post your junk and we see no reason to let you in. Can’t you see that your registrations mean nothing to us and it is so easy to deny you or ban you we just can’t resist. All that is necessary is to look at your dumb-ass usernames or ip address to warrant a guess as to who and what you are. If we don’t want your business, what makes you think we will allow you to post. Too bad Google gave you all gmail addresses to register with. I personally thing Google really ought to take a hard look at themselves before being able to penalize all the hardworking websites and webmasters. Maybe lower their own page rank for adding to the chaos on the w.w.w.. Again …same old thing……allot of good people out there that should be able to register, post or host with us and can’t. All you do is ruin it for them. Your s**t will not get through to others from here!!

The last few days we have seen a real decline in the spam that gets through to us. The McColo Corp., a San Jose, Calif., based Web hosting service had their ISP pull the plug on their internet activity. At least for now, the world is seeing 75% less spam. Lets hope they keep his operations down.

On the other hand, the clients on Cold Sweat-Chicago Internet Solution servers that have forums and galleries are seeing an increase of registrations from spammers.

Just to err on the cautious side we made a change in one clients website, a PHP_Nuke site that was 4 years old and never updated who always seem to be targeted with hackers and such. That site is no more and a brand new one non-nuke in its place.

While we here at “Sweat” have nothing against the Nuke sites, we ask that you keep it up to date. That should be for all type sites and we should not have to go into our servers here to force that issue. These software companies release updates periodically for a reason….one of them security!

For your sites security we check on updates every day on our servers for anti-virus, firewall and such. A few minutes here can save days somewhere else.
