The Affiliate Program will get affiliates 10% of the referred in clients charge per month. You do not need a hosting account to be an affiliate. You have a unique affiliate number in a small piece of code to put on your site. Even if a client comes back to us at a later date, as long as the cookie is in place, you get credit for the client. The Reseller Packages allow the reseller to host unlimited accounts and let them set their own prices and hosting packages as well as keep all money they charge. The account also allows for their own NameServers and private branding so clients know nothing about the reselling of a product. Explosion at The Planet
Due to an explosion of a transformer at 5:45 PM on Saturday, May 31st our servers were down for the duration of Saturday evening thru Monday morning. This outage resulted in 9000 servers going offline and 7500 customers. This translates into maybe millions of sites. While we were only effected for that period of 1 1/2 days, others were offline until Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning. There may be a period on a Saturday/Sunday at midnight in the next 2 weeks when this may again effect some. The reason for that is some are now being powered by generators. They expect for those that are on generators, the sites will go down for approximately 6 hours while they re-build the control room to specs.

New Server Move is Completed
The move to the new servers is now complete. Spam and such should now be at a minimum, the sites loading faster and more resources available. Look in the near future for Cold Sweat-Chicago LLC to offer reseller plans. This will make availacle to those of you that do some design and such to sell hosting and have your own clients with your own pricing.

Server Changes and PHP updates
Server Change Within the next few weeks, we will be making big changes on our servers in the data center at The Planet, in Texas. Many of you will be moving to new servers. This will give you faster sites and possibly an upgrade in your Plan or Bandwidth size. PHP Upgrade Also, all sites that use PHP (php_Nuke, many other CMS's, stores, photo galleries) and the like that are not HTML driven sites will probably need to upgrade their scripts. Even some HTML sites may have a few scripts in them that will need changing. There is a chance that the sites that are built only from PHP will not work correctly and you will need to make some changes . The reason you will need to upgrade the scripts is that currently PHP is using version 4. This version is no longer supported. It will be replaced by version 5 and the handling process works different. This is a security update that is necessary and there are no options of whether or not to update. Please back-up your sites and also download a current version of the back-up to your desktop. This can be done thru you cPanel and is your responsibility. Your cPanel is at:http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel You will of course need your username and password to enter that area. If you don't remember those details please login to your client area homepage to view your details. Your client area address is: http://www.coldsweat-chicago.com/order/clientarea.php Your username is normally your email address for this area. If you don't remember your password for it you can request it on that page. You have 2 usernames and passwords. One is for the client area and one is for cPanel. They are not interchangeable! Those that have never been in their cPanel should now get familiar with it. This is a part of owning a site you need to know and if you have not chosen to purchase the maintenance feature we offer, billing for rebuilding a site could be costly and time consuming. Billing is currently at $60.00 P/Hour for work performed on sites that do not have the regular maintenance program. We will of course make minor changes as usual as we have in the past for small items and offer support thru our ticket submissions in your client side support area. In the process of moving sites from one server to another we will notify you of the approximate time this is done and will try to keep any downtime to a minimum. The upgrade of PHP will be performed by our software/hardware team at The Planet. Of course as with any move there are usually quirks to iron out. That is our responsibility to you. Cold Sweat-Chicago Internet Solutions is now offering Site Maintenence at $40.00 P/Month. Includes weekly back-ups, changes made once weekly on static html pages as for content, audio/video, pictures and fliers. Limit 1 hour per week, Higher rates apply for more time on an individual basis!

Adding of Funds to your account.
Cold Sweat-Chicago LLC has now made it possible to add funds to your account thru either credit card or PayPal. The reason one might want to do this is in the event you went on vacation and were not available, you're credit card could expire and we would not have a way to contact you. If this were to happen, you're account could be suspended and also terminated in a period of time. This would prevent that from happening.
